ATTY/RESO.0057/PC RESO 413 ALDEN STREET <br />REV: 08-09-22 JB <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 22-02 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY DETERMINING THE PROJECT TO BE EXEMPT FROM <br />CEQA AND CONDITIONALLY APPROVING PERMIT NO. AP2022-009 <br />FOR 413 ALDEN STREET IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 40 OF <br />THE REDWOOD CITY MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Applicant, Joseph Spencer Brock (the “Property Owner), applied for <br />a permit to construct a 231 square foot single-story addition to the existing single-story <br />residence (the “Project”) located at 413 Alden Street (the “Property”); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City (“City”) designated as a contributor to the <br />Mezesville Historic District (City Council Resolution Number 14723); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 40 of the Redwood City Municipal Code (“Historic <br />Preservation Ordinance”), the Historic Resources Advisory Committee shall review and <br />provide a written recommendation to the Planning Commission on any application for a <br />demolition or a building permit to work on a designated historic site, historic landmark, or <br />within a historic district; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on June 9, 2022, the Historic Resource Advisory Committee held a <br />public hearing to review the Project’s permit application and supporting materials and <br />recommended approval of the Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on August 5, 2022, a public hearing notice of the Planning <br />Commission hearing was published in the San Mateo Daily Journal and sent to the <br />Property Owner and was mailed to owners and tenants within 300 feet of the Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on August 16, 2022, the Planning Commission conducted a duly <br />noticed public hearing in accordance with all applicable requirements of State Law to <br />review the Project’s permit application and related materials; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on August 16, 2022, the Property Owner, adjacent neighbors, and all <br />other interested parties were given the opportunity to participate in the public hearing <br />through oral testimony and the submittal of written comments; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on August 16, 2022, the Planning Commission fully reviewed, <br />considered, and evaluated the staff report prepared for the Project, including the <br />attachments to the staff report, oral and written public testimony, and all other documents <br />and evidence in the public record on the Project. <br />
