ATTY/RESO.0085/CC RESO AMENDING CLASSIFICATION AND WAGE AND SALARY PLAN FOR RCPOA <br />REV: 11-20-24 MI <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />RESOLUTION NO. _____ <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AMENDING THE CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY AND WAGE <br />PLAN FOR CLASSIFICATIONS REPRESENTED BY REDWOOD CITY <br />POLICE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION AND UNREPRESENTED POLICE <br />OFFICER TRAINEE CLASSIFICATION <br />WHEREAS, the City and the Redwood City Police Officers Association (RCPOA) <br />have reached agreement on a Successor Memorandum of Understanding for August 26, <br />2024 – August 29, 2027; and <br />WHEREAS, the parties agreed to amend the classification and salary and wage <br />plan by granting for all classifications represented by the RCPOA a 3% cost-of-living <br />adjustment effective August 26, 2024, a market adjustment salary increase effective <br />September 8, 2025, based on a compensation survey for comparable cities and based <br />on data available as of September 1, 2025, and a 3% cost-of-living adjustment effective <br />August 24, 2026; and <br />WHEREAS, staff is recommending that the salary for Police Officer Trainee <br />classification, which is a non-safety and unrepresented position, be aligned with the <br />Police Officer classification salary steps 1, 2 and 3.; and <br />WHEREAS, staff is recommending a new classification salary range for Police <br />Officer – Advanced 15-YR be established effective December 30, 2024 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1.The City’s Classification and Salary and Wage plan is hereby amended for <br />classifications represented by RCPOA and the Police Officer Trainee classification as set <br />forth in Exhibits A-1, A-2, and B. <br />2.This resolution shall be effective upon the date of its adoption. <br />* * * <br />16263
