ATTY/RESO.0007/CC RESO US 101/ROUTE 84 (WOODSIDE ROAD) <br />REV: 02-06-25 LR <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 16277 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY FOR THE PROPERTY AND EASEMENT ACQUISITION COSTS <br />RELATED TO THE STATE ROUTE 84 (WOODSIDE ROAD)/U.S. 101 <br />INTERCHANGE REIMAGINED PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY (City) desires to continue the <br />implementation of the State Route 84 (Woodside Road)/U.S. 101 Reimagined Project <br />(Project) by ensuring the timely payment of all property acquisition costs related to the <br />Project Right-of-Way (R/W) phase; and <br />WHEREAS, the City was awarded a total of $17.4M in San Mateo County Measure <br />A Highway Program Funds from the San Mateo County Transportation (SMCTA) for R/W <br />acquisition for the Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the City/County Association of Governments (C/CAG) awarded the <br />City $8.0M in State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) funds for Project R/W; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, $8.0M for R/W has been obligated by the U.S. Department of <br />Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) from the awarded $105.0M in <br />Federal Infrastructure for Rebuilding America (INFRA) grant funds; and <br />WHEREAS, Caltrans and the City are co-recipients of the INFRA grant funds; <br />therefore, an amendment to the R/W Cooperative Agreement that includes INFRA funds <br />in the budget must be in place for those funds to be made available. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />1.The City Manager, or designee, is authorized to execute Caltrans <br />amendments to the Project’s R/W Cooperative Agreement to include any and all grant <br />funding and other Project agreements to enable timely availability of awarded grant funds <br />to the City for R/W expenses. <br />* * *
