MINUTE ORDER <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br /> November 4, 1996 <br /> MO. 96-275 <br /> <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: October 22, 1996 <br /> <br />Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Community Development Director <br /> Community Development Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Woodside Gas Mart - Open Public Hearing <br /> <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on November 4, 1996. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmembers Buchan,Claire, Howard, La Berge, Leipzig, Ruskin <br /> and Mayor Harmett <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carried and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br /> Mayor Hartnett announced he had a client who owned property near 895 <br /> Woodside Road and to avoid any possible conflict of interest he would remove <br /> himself from discussion and voting on this matter. Mayor Hartnett left the dais <br /> and the Supervisors's Chamber at this time. Vice Mayor Howard became <br /> Mayor Pro Tem for this Council Agenda Item. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pro Tern Howard advised that the owners/operators of the gas matt <br /> would speak frrst for fifteen minutes, the two groups of neighbors would <br /> speak for seven minutes each, and the gas mart customers and anyone else <br /> who hadn't already addressed the Council would then speak for up to three <br /> minutes each. She asked that the spokespeople for groups speak first, and <br /> urged everyone to treat each other with respect and civility. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pro Tern Howard opened the public hearing at 8:22 p.m. <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
