ORDINANCE NO. P-287 <br />ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF PORT COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE UNITED STATES OF -AMERICA (UNITED STATES <br />GEOLOGICAL SURVEY) <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF PORT COMMISSIONERS OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Public hearing having been duly noticed for, and held on September <br />22, 2021, on the question of approval of the lease agreement hereinafter described, <br />and pursuant to the provisions of Section 48 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City, <br />the Board of Port Commissioners of the City of Redwood City does hereby approve that <br />certain lease agreement entitled "U.S. Government Lease for Real Property (Short <br />Form)"; USGS Lease No. G21 PL00011 (the "Lease Agreement"), by and between the <br />City of Redwood City, acting by and through its Board of Port Commissioners ("Port") <br />and the United States of America, Department of the Interior, United States Geological <br />Survey ("Lessee"), which Lease Agreement provides for 66 ft of dockage located at the <br />western end of F Dock and approximately 3,000 sq/ft of ware -yard space located at <br />Wharf 5 and depicted on Exhibit A attached hereto. The ware -yard shall be used for the <br />storage of field gear, equipment, 40' Conex boxes and small boat trailers. <br />The term of the Lease Agreement is ten (10) years commencing on October 1, <br />2021 and terminating on September 30, 2031. The Lease Agreement can be <br />terminated by Lessee, in whole or in parts, after the first two lease years upon service <br />of a 120 -day written notice to Lessor. <br />Port P-287 1 <br />USGS <br />08 30 21 FXS <br />
