REV: 05-12-26 MI GRANT AGREEMENT REDWOOD CITY PAL CENTER THIS GRANT AGREEMENT is made and entered into as of , 2026, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal corporation of the State of California (“Grantor”), and the REDWOOD CITY POLICE ACTIVITIES LEAGUE, INC. dba Redwood City Pal Center, Inc., a California non-profit organization (“Grantee”) (collectively, the “Parties”), with reference to the following facts: RECITALS A. Grantor is the City of Redwood City. B. Grantee is a non-profit entity established to achieve the goal of providing sports and after school programs to at-risk and potentially at-risk youth in the City of Redwood City. Grantee provides services and programming that complements and enhances services provided by the City. C. Grantor desires to provide youth sports and after school programs to at-risk and potentially at-risk youth in an underserved area of the community, but due to budget constraints, it is not able to provide comparable services and programming. D. Grantee is prepared to provide youth sports and after school programs to serve at-risk and potentially at-risk youth. Grantee is uniquely situated to provide this type of programming because of its location, personnel, and procedures and the history of its relationship and engagement with the Redwood City Police Department, the Redwood City Parks and Recreation Department, and the community. E. Grantee has submitted a proposal to the Grantor for fundraising, business development, partnership building and infrastructure development to deliver sports and after school programs to youth. Upon the terms and conditions described herein, Grantor is willing to provide Eighty Thousand Dollars ($80,000.00) to fund Grantee’s provision of the services more particularly described in Exhibit “A”, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. NOW, THEREFORE, Grantor and Grantee hereby agree as follows: 1. Grant and Use of Funds. Grantor agrees to provide a grant to Grantee of not more than Eighty Thousand Dollars ($80,000) for fiscal year 2025-2026. Funds shall be disbursed to Grantee once annually, within a reasonable time upon Grantee’s submittal of invoice to Grantor. Grantor reserves the right to withhold the balance of any remaining funds if the use of the funds is found to be substantially out of compliance with the purpose of this Grant Agreement. 2. Term. Unless earlier terminated, the term of this Agreement will be effective from the date first above written through June 30, 2026.
