MINUTE ORDER <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br /> April 1, 1996 <br /> <br /> MO. 96-067 <br /> <br /> CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br /> Redwood City <br /> <br /> DATE: April 2, 1996 <br /> <br /> Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Finance Director <br /> Billing and Collections Manager <br /> <br /> SUBJECT: Yard Waste Program from BFI through SBTSA (803) <br /> <br /> Billing and Collections Manager Holmquist presented the staff report. Present were Bob <br /> Hilton, Hilton Consultants to SBTSA, Dan Day, Deborah Sergeant and G-ino Gasparini of <br /> BFI. The proposal was to eliminate the end of the month pick-up but add two <br /> environmental days to pick up green waste only. The goal was to meet AB 939 <br /> requirements of 50% reduction in landfill by 2000, and to create a more accurate revenue <br /> stream for BFI. Discussion revealed the impacts of the proposal on the monthly bill. <br /> <br /> Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on April 1, 1996 <br /> <br /> Present: Coun¢ilmembers Buchan, Claire, Howard, La Berge, Leipzig, Ruskin <br /> and Mayor Hartnett <br /> <br /> Absent: None <br /> <br /> The following action was taken and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br /> CONSENSUS: Mayor tlartnett determined it was the consensus of the <br /> Council to direct staff to bring this whole matter back to Council with more <br /> information and alternatives. <br /> <br />~1~1 C City Manager Everett agreed to provide more rate specific information. · Jo <br /> City Clerk ~ v <br /> <br /> <br />
