RESOLUTION N0. 18'2 <br />GRANTING VARIANCE TO MR. SHIPLEY TO <br />ALLOW 10 INCH SIDE YARD ON PORTION ADDED <br />TO LOT 9, BLOCK 10, WOODSIDE ACRES. <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of Redwood City has submitted <br />the application of MR. SHIPLEY for a variance with the recommenda- <br />tion that such application be granted; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY HEREBY RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. Said Council finds the following conditions exist: <br />(a) That there are exceptional or extraordinary <br />circumstances which apply to the land, building <br />or use referred to in the application, which <br />circumstances or conditions do not generally <br />apply to lands, buildings or uses in the same <br />district. <br />(b) That the granting -- of the application is <br />necessary for the preservation and enjoyment <br />of substantial property rights of the petitioner. <br />(c) That the granting of such application will not <br />materially affect adversely neighboring <br />property or the public welfare, health or <br />safety of persons residing or working in the <br />neighborhood. <br />2. Said Council hereby grants to MR. SHIPLEY a variance to <br />allow a reduction in the side yard on the two (2) feet added to <br />Lot 9, Block 10, Woodside Acres, to ten (10) inches instead of <br />five (5) feet, subject to the condition that all construction in <br />the side yard shall be in strict accordance with the plan hereto- <br />fore submitted to the Planning Commission and the Council of <br />Redwood City. <br />
