1/11/2010 ORIGINAL RESOLUTION NO. 14991 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING AN APPROPRIATION REPRESENTING ANTICIPATED GRANT REVENUE FROM SAMARITAN HOUSE FOR STATE OF CALIFORNIA HOMELESSNESS PREVENTION AND RAPID RE- HOUSING PROGRAM (HPRP) AND ADDING ANTICIPATED GRANT REVENUE INTO GENERAL FUND BUDGET FOR APPROPRIATION WHEREAS, on July 13, 2009, the City Council of the City of Redwood City ( "City Council ") approved its Fiscal Year 2009 -2010 budget; and WHEREAS, the State of California Department of Housing and Community Development recently awarded a grant to Samaritan House which included $30,000 for the City of Redwood City ( "City ") to be expended for Housing and Stabilization Services to be provided by the Information and Referral Program at the Fair Oaks Community Center; and WHEREAS, on January 11, 2010, the City Council authorized the City Manager to execute the Memorandum of Understanding with Samaritan House for County of San Mateo and State of California Housing and Community Development Department Federal Stimulus Funds for Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re- Housing Services; and WHEREAS, the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department is requesting that the additional grant funding from Samaritan House for Housing and Stabilization Services in the amount of Thirty Thousand and No /100 Dollars ($30,000) be included into the City's General Fund. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redwood City as follows: 1. The Finance Director shall establish an appropriation in the amount of $30,000 representing anticipated grant revenue and shall include said anticipated revenue in the General Fund for the Fiscal Year 2009 -2010 Budget. 2. The following stated amount is hereby added as an anticipated grant revenue into the General Fund budget for appropriation as follows: ATTY/RESO/RES0.1973 14991 010410 Muff # 304
