R E S 0 L U T 1 0 N N 0. 1927 <br />GRANTING VARIANCE TO CARL LUOTO TO <br />ALLOW ADDITION TO NONCONFORMING BUILD- <br />ING AT 1839 POPLAR AVENUE. <br />WHEREAS., the Planning Commission of Redwood City has sub- <br />mitted the application of CARL LUOTO for a variance with the <br />recommendation that sucih application be granted in accordance <br />with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 600,, said ordinance being the <br />C ity; <br />zoning ordinance of the City of Redwood C <br />NOW., THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY HEREBY RESOLVES <br />A F 0 LL 0 11 S : <br />1. Said Council finds that the following conditions exist: <br />(a) That there are exceptional or extraordinary <br />circumstances which apply to the land, building <br />or use referred to in the application., which <br />circumstances or conditions do not generally <br />apply to lands, buildings or uses in the same <br />district. <br />(b) That the granting of the application is <br />necessary for the preservation and enjoyment <br />of substantial property rights of the <br />petitioner. <br />(c) That the granting of such application will <br />not materially affect adversely neighboring <br />property or the public welfare or the health <br />or safety of persons residing or working in <br />the neighborhood. <br />2. Suid Council hereby grants to CARL LUOTO <,). variance to <br />allow construction of an addition to a nonconforming building <br />at 1839 Poplar Avenue, Redwood City, upon the express conditions <br />that all construction shall be completed not later than six (6) <br />months from the date of this resolution and that such construction <br />shall be strictly in accordance with the plans heretofore approved <br />by the Council and Planning Commission of Redwood City,, and shall <br />comply in all other respecte with the Building Code of the City <br />of Redwood City. <br />
