R E S O L U T I O N N0. 1929 <br />GRANTING VARIANCE TO E. J. HOPKINS <br />T <br />TO ALLOw 8-1/21 SIDE YARD ON LOT 1, <br />BLOCK 2, REESE TRACT (CORNER OF <br />POPLAR AND EBENER). <br />I <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of Redwood City has <br />submitted the application of E. J. HOPKINS for a variance with <br />the recommendation that such application be granted in accord- <br />ance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 600, said ordinance <br />being the zoning ordinance of the City of Redwood City; <br />NOW., THEREFORE., THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY HEREBY <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. Said Council finds that the following conditions <br />exist: <br />(a) That there are exceptional or extraordinary <br />circumstances which apply to the land <br />building or use referred to in the applica- <br />tion., which circumstances or conditions do <br />not generally apply to lands, buildings, or <br />uses in the same district. <br />(b) That the granting of the application is <br />CD <br />necessary for the preservation and enjoyment <br />of substantial property rights of the <br />petitioner, <br />(c) That the granting of such application will <br />not materially affect adversely neighboring <br />property or the public welfare or the health <br />or safety of persons residing or working in <br />the neighborhood, <br />2. Said Council hereby grants to E. J. HOPKINS a <br />variance to allow an eight and one-half foot (8-1/21) side <br />yard on Lot 1 Block 2, Reese Tract (corner of Poplar and <br />Ebener), Redwood City, upon the express conditions that all <br />construction shall be completed not later than six (6) months <br />from the date of this resolution and that such construction <br />shall be strictly in accordance with the plans heretofore <br />approved by the Council and Planning Commission of Redwood City., <br />and shall comply in all other respects with the Building Code <br />of the City of Redwood City. <br />
