RESOLUTION N0. 1943 <br />GRANTING VARIANCE TO WILLIAM E. ALLEN <br />TO ALLOW 10 REAR YARD AND 9' GARAGES <br />AT 335 OAK STREET <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of Redwood City has <br />submitted the application of WILLIAM E. ALLEN for a variance <br />with the recommendation that such application be granted in <br />accordance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. ,600, said ordinance <br />being the zoning ordinance of the City of Redwood City; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY HEREBY <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. Said Council finds that the following conditions <br />exist: <br />(a) That there are exceptional or extraordinary <br />circumstances which apply to the land, <br />building or use referred to in the applica- <br />tion, which circumstances or conditions do <br />not generally apply to lands, buildings or <br />uses in the same district. <br />(b) That the granting of the application is <br />necessary for the preservation and enjoyment <br />of substantial property rights of the <br />petitioner. <br />(c) That the granting of such application will <br />not materially affect adversely neighboring <br />property or the public welfare or the health <br />or safety of persons residing or working in <br />the neighborhood. <br />2. Said Council hereby grants to WILLIAM E. ALLEN a <br />variance to allow construction to be placed on the southwesterly <br />80.57 feet of Lot 16, Reese Subdivision, fronting 80.57 feet on <br />Oak Avenue, Redwood City, San Mateo County, California, subject <br />to the following express conditions: <br />(a) A ten foot (10 rear yard may be maintained. <br />(b) Garage spaces may be nine feet (91) in width. <br />(c) All of the southwesterly 80.57 feet of Lot 16 <br />as hereinbefore described is hereby declared to <br />be one lot and one building site. <br />1 <br />
