HOPKINS for variance with the recorrunendation that such application be granted; and tiHEREAS ~ the Counc11 of Red\'Jood Ci ty has considered said. application for variance in accordance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 600, said ordinance being the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Redwood City; NOt'v, fl'HEREFOHE, THE COUNCIL OF HED\iOOD CI1''1 HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: 1. Said Council find the following conditions exist: (a) That there are exceptional or extraordinary circumstances which apply to the land, build- ing or use referred to in the application, . which circumstances or conditions do not generally apply to land, buildings or uses in the s~ne district. (b) That the granting of the application is necessary for the pl")eservation and enjoyment of substantial property rights of the peti- tioner. (0) That the granting of such application will not materially affect adversely neighboring prop- erty or the public welfare or the health or safety of persons residing or worl{ing in the neighborhood. 2. Said Council hereby grants to E. V. HOPKINS a variance to allow construction of three (3) garages with a depth of seventeen feet, six~ inches (17' ,6") upon the express condi- tions that construction shall be in strict accordance with the ~ plans heretofore approved by the Council of the City of Hedwood City and the Planning COlmnission of Redwood Ci ty, and that construction shall be completed within six (6) months from the date of the adoption of this Resolution. * * * *
