<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. 1984 <br /> <br />A rrRIBUrrE TO OUR SERVICE FLAG <br /> <br />_._------~--,--...,,----..-.'_....~-_..........--_.-----_.,~.__.""'--,_._.-._,_.,~, <br /> <br />HHEHEAS, the Council of the Ci ty of RedvJood Ci ty, by <br /> <br />official resolution at the outbreak of World War II, again <br /> <br />re-affirrned during the Korean Conflict, dedicated a Service <br /> <br />Flag, honoring the men and women of Redwood City serving <br /> <br />with the armed forces, and <br /> <br />HHEHEAS, gold stars were placed upon this flag <br /> <br />memorializing those who gave their lives in defense of our <br /> <br />j-/\merican form of government, accompanied by appropriate <br /> <br />resolutions read into the official Council minutes, copies <br /> <br />of' v-lhj.ch \'1ere sent to the next of kin, <br /> <br />NOH, 'I'HEREPORE, THE COUNCIL OF REDVlOOD CITY HER.EBY <br /> <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That this honored flag be retired and in its place <br /> <br />a bronze plaque be displayed as a permanent memorial to our <br /> <br />fellow citizens who so honorably served their country. <br /> <br />* * * * <br />
