<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />1985 <br /> <br />HESOLUTION HEQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS <br />OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO TO HOLD A HEARING ON <br />1'HE FORMATION OF A GARBAGE AND REFUSE DISPOSAL <br />DISTRICT - SOUTH COUNTY AREA <br /> <br />RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, COUNTY <br />OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, THAT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, ALLEN ENGINEERING ASSOCIATES, INC., consulting <br /> <br />engineers, after survey conducted at the request of the Board of <br /> <br />Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, has submitted its Garbage <br /> <br />and Refuse Survey Report, dated December 1, 1955, wherein findings <br /> <br />and recommendations concerning existing and proposed garbage and <br /> <br />refuse disposal facilities within the territory embracing the <br /> <br />cities of Belmont, San Carlos, Redwood City, and the unincorpor- <br /> <br />ated territory south of the southern limits of the City of San <br /> <br />Mateo, all in the County of San Mateo, state of California, are <br /> <br />set forth; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in the said report the consulting engineers have <br /> <br />recommended that a Ga.rbage and Refuse Disposal District be formed <br /> <br />in the said South County area, and it appears that suitable <br /> <br />authority exists in the law for the formation of such a district <br /> <br /> <br />under the provisions of Section 4170, et seq., of the Health and <br /> <br />Safety Code of the state of California, which would allow proper <br /> <br />city and county representation on the Board of Directors thereof: <br /> <br />NOW, rrHEREFOHE, IT IS HEREBY DErrERMINED AND ORDEHED that the <br /> <br />said Garbage and Refuse Survey Report of Allen Engineering Asso- <br /> <br />eiates, Inc. is approved in princip1~ and the Board of Supervisors' <br /> <br />of the County of San Mateo is requested to adopt its resolution <br /> <br />calling a hearing on the proposed formation of the aforesaid <br />q <br /> <br />South County area into a garbage and refuse' disposal district <br /> <br />pursuant to Section 4170, et seq., of the Health and Safe~ Code <br /> <br />of the state of California. <br />
