<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />NO. 2114 <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF <br />CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY NECESSARY FOR <br />THE EXTENSION OF MARSHALL STREET FROM <br />WALNUT STREET TO ~illPLE STREET <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OFI REDWOOD CITY: <br /> <br />Section~. The Mayor and the City Manager are hereby autho- <br /> <br />rized and directed to acquire on behalf of the City ot Redwood City <br /> <br />all the hereinafter described real property, which real property is <br /> <br />necessary for the extension of Marshall street between Walnut Street <br /> <br />and Map~e Street, from the owners thereof for the total purchase price <br /> <br />of Six Thousand Five Hundred Eighty-nine Dollars and Seventy-eight <br /> <br /> <br />Cents ($6,5e9.7S) in accordance with and subject to te~ns and conditions <br /> <br />of that certain agreement between the Ci ty of Redwood Ci t;y- and Charles <br /> <br />D. Culbertson and Eugenia Culbertson, his wife, form dated October 1, <br />1956, a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City <br /> <br />Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars as <br /> <br />to the terms and conditions thereof. <br /> <br />Section 2. The real property referred to in Section 1 hereof <br /> <br />is all that real property situate in the City of Redwood City, County <br /> <br />of San Mateo, being more particularly described as follows: <br /> <br />BEGINNING at a polnt on the easterly line 'of \valnut street, <br />60.00 feet wide, which point bears North 30 30' West, along said <br />easterly line 95.49 feet from the northeasterly line of Spring <br />Street, 60.00 feet wide, as said streets are showTI on the map <br />enti tIed "St~ENEY' S ADDITION TO REDWOOD CITY" recorded in Volume <br />2 of Maps at Page 79, San Mateo County Records; thence northeasterly <br />along a curve to the right with a radius of 15.00 feet tangent to <br />said easterly line of Walnut Street a distance of 25.66 feet; thence <br />South 850 29' 30" East 555.01 feet; thence southeasterly along a <br />curve to the right with a radius of ~S.OO feet, tangent to the pre- <br />ceding course, a distance of 29.98 feet to the northwesterly line of <br />Maple Street, 60.00 feet wide, thence along said northwesterLy line <br />North 290 02' 20ft East 67.30 feet to a point which bears North 850 <br />29' 30" West 32.98 feet from the intersection of the center lines <br />of Maple Street and Liguori street, 6u .00 feet wide, (now kno-vm <br />as Marshall Street) as said streets are shown on the map entitled <br />"BROAD\'lTAY NO. 3, REDWOOD CITY, CALIPORNIA" recorded in Book 24 of <br />Maps at Page 66 in the Recorders Office of San Mateo County; thence <br />continuing aloIlg the aforesaid north-westerly line of Map~e Street <br />North 290 02' 20" East 53.61 feet; thence southlrfesterly along a <br />curve to the right with a radius of 15.00 feet, tangent to the pre- <br />ceding course, a distance of 17.14 feet; thence North 8.50 29' 3011 <br />West 620.69 feet; thence northwesterly along a curve to the right <br />with a radius of 15.00 feet, tangent to tha preceding course, a <br />distance of 21.47 feet to the aforesaid easterly line of Walnut <br />street; thence along said easterly line South 30 30' East 111.08 <br />feet to the point of beginning. <br />
