03/08/2010 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15004 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVING <br />NEXTEL'S MODIFICATIONS TO THE WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS <br />FACILITY SITE PLAN PURSUANT TO THE DECEMBER 14, 2006 <br />LEASE AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />APPROVE FURTHER MODIFICATIONS TO THE SITE PLAN FOR THE <br />TERM OF THE LEASE <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City (the "City ") entered into a Lease <br />Agreement with Nextel of California, Inc. ( "Nextel ") on December 14, 2006 for wireless <br />communication facilities at the City -owned Emerald Hills water tank site located at 555 <br />California Way for a term not to exceed ten (10) years; and <br />WHEREAS, Nextel desires to add two antennas to the existing monopole at the <br />leased site; and <br />WHEREAS, the Zoning Administrator has evaluated Nextel's proposal to add two <br />antennas and has approved Nextel's Use Permit and Architectural Permit pursuant to <br />Article 38.3 and Article 38.5 of the Zoning Ordinance, respectively; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lease Agreement (Section 5.05, Improvements) requires Nextel <br />to obtain the City's prior written approval in order to make alterations, improvements, <br />additions or installations at the site; and <br />WHEREAS, the City hereby approves of Nextel's proposal to add two antennas <br />to the existing monopole; and <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to enable the City Manager to provide written <br />approval of similar minor modifications to the improvements for the remainder of the <br />term of the lease, pursuant to the Lease Agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />1.
