<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N Q.. 21$4 <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF SURRENDER <br />OF LEASE FROM DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS. <br />REDWOOD CITY CHAPTER 136, INC. . <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by lease dated the first day of December, 1950, <br />City of Redwood City leased to Disabled American Veterans, Redwood <br />City Chapter 136, Inc. certain premises hereinafter described for <br />a term of ten (10) years from the first day of December, 1950, at <br />the yearly rental of One Dollar ($1.00); and, <br />WHEREAS, Disabled American Veterans, Redwood City Chapter <br />136, Inc. is desirous of yielding up possession of the said pre- <br />mises and being absolved from further liability for the payment <br />of the rental under said lease; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY: <br /> <br />1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized and <br />directed to execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that <br /> <br />certain indenture for surrender of lease between the City of Redwood <br />City and the Disabled American Veterans, Redwood City Chapter 136, <br />Inc., copy of which indenture is on file in the office of the City <br /> <br />Clerk, to which copy reference is made for full particulars concern- <br /> <br />ing the terms thereof. <br />2. The premises referred to in the abovementioned indenture, <br />possession of which is accepted by the City of Redwood City, consists <br />of the following described real property situate in the c~ty of <br />Redwood Ci t~., County of San Mateo, State of California: <br /> <br />A parcel of land, being a portion of Mezes Park, <br />located at the eorner of Standish and Warren streets, <br />in the City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, <br />State of California, together with the improvements <br />thereon, which premises are commonly known as <br />Veterans' Hall: <br /> <br />Excepting therefrom the exterior toilet and restroom <br /> <br />-1- <br />
