MINUTE ORDER <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br />June 24, 1996 <br />MO. 96-163 <br /> <br /> CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br /> Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: June 28, 1996 <br /> <br />Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Council <br /> Finance Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Another Code Enforcement Officer (501) <br /> <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on June 24, 1996. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmembers Buchan,Claire, Howard, La Berge, Leipzig, Ruskin <br /> and Mayor Hannett <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carried and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br /> 1VIalS: LEIPZIG/BUCHAN TO APPROVE NO MORE THAN $75,000 FOR <br /> ANOTHER CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER. <br /> <br /> Councilman Claire stated that if monies were available he would prefer <br /> having another police officer. <br /> <br /> Mayor Hartnett stated that not all issues are solved by hiring additional <br /> people or spending additional money, and added that he would prefer to <br /> support the Building Division's priority policy. <br /> <br /> Councilman Ruskin stated he was dubious that the priority policy can be <br /> carried out without an additional officer. <br /> <br /> Councilwoman La Berge advised that she was not prepared to support the <br /> motion at this time. <br /> <br /> <br />
