MINUTE ORDER <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> May 13, 1996 <br /> <br /> MO. 96-105 <br /> <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: May 15, 1996 <br /> <br />Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Council <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Streets Committee Recommendation to Approve Option D1 (209) <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on May 13, 1996. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmembers Buchan, Claire, Howard, La Berge, Leipzig, Ruskin <br /> and Mayor Hartnett <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carried and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br /> M/S: LEIPZIG/CLAIRE TO APPROVE OPTION D1 (Replace 28 <br /> planters and save all the trees) AND DIRECT STAFF TO LOOK AT <br /> THE PLANTER BOXES AND TREES THAT ARE SALVAGEABLE <br /> AND THEY HAVE THE DISCRETION TO REMOVE A TREE IF <br /> THEY DEEM IT PRUDENT <br /> <br /> Councilman Ruskin asked that a friendly amendment be added to the above <br /> Motion: "The staff be asked to look into whether any planters should now be <br /> removed because the constriction to commercial walking is so severe, that it <br /> might be advisable to remove a planter for that reason." <br /> <br /> Councilmen Leipzig and Claire, the mover and seconder of the Motion, agreed <br /> to add the amendment as stated. <br /> <br />~ly~n C.
