<br />~,. <br /> <br />\ <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />CGM:yc:lO/14/80 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />8 721 <br /> <br />OCT 2 7 1980 <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING OF STEAM <br />CLEANER AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT THEREFOR <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Article VII of Chapter 2 <br /> <br />of the Redwood City Code, the City Manager has solicited bids for <br /> <br />the furnishing of a steam cleaner to be used for municipal purposes; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed <br /> <br />with the City Clerk for the furnishing of said equipment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, WESTERN POWER AND EQUIPMENT COMPANY, Redwood City, <br /> <br />California, is the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of <br /> <br />said equipment, and it is the intention of this Council to award <br /> <br />said bid to Western Power and Equipment Company; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Western Power and Equipment Company, in the total <br /> <br />lump sum of Five Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty-four and 70/100 <br /> <br />Dollars ($5,844.70), for the furnishing of a stearn cleaner in <br /> <br />accordance with the specifications therefor on file in the office <br /> <br />of the City Clerk, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby <br /> <br />found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for the <br /> <br />furnishing of said equipment. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement <br /> <br />with Western Power and Equipment Company for the furnishing of the <br /> <br />above mentioned equipment in accordance with, and subject to, the <br /> <br />terms and conditions of the aforementioned specifications and in <br /> <br />accordance with the aforementioned bidder's proposal. <br />
