<br />~ ~'._~- <br />o . . <br />.,-,:0... <br />~. <br /> <br />...- <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />.. <br />o <br /> <br />S\vC :bc 9/16/80 <br /> <br />8 701 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />SEP 22 1980 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE TARGET EDUCATION AND WELFARE <br />COUNCIL, INC. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Target Education and Welfare Council, Inc., <br /> <br />a California non-profit corporation, has been established for the <br /> <br />principal purpose of improving neighborhood and community education <br /> <br />and promoting economic opportunities of benefit to and in furtherance <br /> <br />of the public order, health and welfare in the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City has found <br /> <br />and determined that the Social Service Advocacy/Youth Direction <br /> <br />Projects so operated and conducted by said corporation are of <br /> <br />general value to the residents of the City of Redwood City, and will <br /> <br />result in public benefit to the whole of the community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City proposes to contribute to the Target Education <br /> <br />and Welfare Council, Inc., the sum of Eighteen Thousand and No/lOO <br /> <br />Dollars ($18,000.00) during the fiscal year July 1, 1980 - June 30, <br /> <br />1981; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement (form dated 9/16/80), by and between <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City and the Target Education and Welfare <br /> <br />Council, Inc., a copy of which agreement is on file in the office <br /> <br />of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full <br /> <br />particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager is <br /> <br />hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and on <br /> <br />behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br />
