<br />t " <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />() <br /> <br />SWC:bc 5/27/80 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />8604 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL: <br />JUN 2 1980 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR PAINTING OF THE <br />WILMINGTON WATER TANK IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT FOR SAID WORK; AND <br />DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8567 adopted April 21, <br /> <br />1980, the City Clerk called for bids for the painting of the <br /> <br />Wilmington Water Tank in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, D. E. Burgess Co., San Francisco, California, is <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to award the bid to said D. E. Burgess Co.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of D. E. Burgess Co. in the sum of Four Thousand <br /> <br />Six Hundred Forty and No/IOO Dollars ($4,640.00) in accordance <br /> <br />with bidder's proposal submitted May 20, 1980, for painting of <br /> <br />the Wilmington Water Tank is hereby accepted and said bidder is <br /> <br />hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder <br /> <br />for said work. <br /> <br />2. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />for the above mentioned work, other than the bid mentioned in <br /> <br />paragraph 1 hereof, are hereby rejected. <br /> <br />3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute that certain agreement entitled "Agreement" <br /> <br />(form dated 5/27/80) by and between the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />and D. E. Burgess Co. for the performance of said work in <br />
