MINUTE ORDER <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br /> September 16, 1996 <br /> MO. 96-228 <br /> <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: September 19, 1996 <br /> <br />Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Finance Director <br /> Community Development Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: FUNDING THE EIR ON LAUREL WAY (603) <br /> <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on September 16, 1996. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmembers Buchan,Claire, Howard, La Berge, Leipzig, Ruskin <br /> and Mayor Harmett <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carried and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br /> M/S: LA BERGE/I-IOWARD TO DIRECT STAFF TO WORK WITH THE <br /> APPLICANT AND OTHER PROPERTY OWNERS ON LAUREL WAY TO SET UP <br /> A MECHANISM FOR FUNDING THE EIR <br /> <br /> In answer to Councilman Ruskin's questions regarding legal obligations, City <br /> Attorney Schricker advised that "there is no obligation that we would involve <br /> ourselves in public funds. You want to investigate whether there is a <br /> proportional formula that should be developed or there should be no <br /> participation. You will know more when you get a report back and find out how <br /> much is involved..., and what the scope of the proposed EIR would be. That is <br /> one of the first things you would have to do is look at the scope." <br /> <br /> MOTION CARRIED BY UNANIMOUS VOICE VOTE. <br /> <br />Arlyn C.
