0 R D I N A N C E 10/7/96 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2115 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 2.41.12 TO THE CODE <br /> OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ESTABLISHING THE <br /> SUPPLEMENTAL LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES FUND <br /> <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Section 2.41.12 is hereby added to the Code of the City of <br />Redwood City to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "2.41.12. Supplemental Law Enforcement Services Fund. A <br /> special fund designated the 'Supplemental Law Enforcement <br /> Services Fund' is hereby established pursuant to the provisions of <br /> Chapter 6.7 {commencing with §30061), Division 3, Title 3, of the <br /> Government Code. All moneys received by the City from the State <br /> pursuant to the provisions of said Chapter shall be deposited in <br /> said fund. Upon consideration and determination on the question <br /> of approval of written requests by the Chief of Police for <br /> expenditure of said moneys, and following public hearing on said <br /> question, the Council shall appropriate and expend said moneys <br /> for "front line" municipal police services. Appropriations from the <br /> fund shall supplement existing front line law enforcement services, <br /> and shall not be used to supplant any existing funding for law <br /> enforcement services." <br /> <br /> Section 2. This Ordinance shall be effective thirty days from the date of <br />its adoption; provided, however, that this Ordinance shall be operative upon and <br />after the date of receipt of funds pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 6.7 <br />(commencing with §30061), Division 3, Title 3 of the Government Code, if said <br />funds are received before said effective date. <br /> <br />Ord-0067G:/shared/redwood/council 1 <br />DES:djk <br />09/11/96 <br /> <br /> <br />
