AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> for <br /> <br /> SAFE HARBOR HOMELESS SHELTER <br /> <br /> (SAMARITAN HOUSE) <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this {~)~ day of <br />20~y and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter cit~ and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Samaritan House, a California <br />nonprofit organization ("Contractor") (collectively the "Parties"); <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor provides an homeless shelter program; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the program described in the attached Exhibit B (Contract Objectives), which is <br />incorporated herein by this reference (the "Program"), for residents of City during the <br />fiscal year commencing July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed Contractor's request; finds that providing <br />the financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, desires to <br />allocate to Contractor the sum of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000) from its Community <br />Development Block Grant funds for the Program; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of Five <br />Thousand Dollars ($5,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal year <br />commencing July 1,2002, and ending June 30, 2003, solely for the purposes described <br />in Paragraph 2. <br /> <br />Service.agr <br />1 O/8/O2 <br /> <br /> <br />
