ORIGINAL ~ AUG 3 '7() R E .[ 0 L U T .! 0 N N O. ~J'.fb RESOLUTION APPROVING EXTENSION OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE REDWOOD CITY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOR MAINTENANCE OF INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY FOR FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 1970 - JUNE 30, 1971 WHEREAS, that certain agreement by and between the City of Redwood city and the Redwood City Chamber of Commerce, dated July 1, 1967, for the maintenance by the Chamber of an industrial and commercial development program provides for the extension thereof for additional successive periods of one fiscal year: and WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has received from the Redwood City Chamber of Commerce its offer to renew said agreement for the fiscal year July l, 1970 - June 30, 1971= and WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve the extension of said agreement for and during the aforesaid fiscal year: NOW, THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: l. The above mentioned agreement dated July l, 1967, by and between the City of Redwood city and the Redwood City Chamber of Commerce providing for payment by the city to the Chamber of Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($lS,OOO) for the sole and exclusive purpose of maintaining and expanding the economy of the City of Redwood City by the promotion and development of the commerce and industry in the city of Redwood City for the purpose of contributing to and increasing the prosperity and wellbeing of all segments of the community, is hereby renewed and extended by the City of Redwood City for an additional successive fiscal year period commencing July l, 1970, and terminating June 30, 1971, on the same terms and conditions stated therein.
