<br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR FURNISHING OF BRASS
<br />FITTINGS
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 6290, adopted May 11,
<br />
<br />1970, the City Clerk called for bids for the furnishing of brass
<br />
<br />fittings to be used by the Water Department for municipal purposes:
<br />
<br />and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed
<br />
<br />with the City Clerk for the furnishing of said equipment; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, CRANE SUPPLY COMPANY, a Division of Crane Company,
<br />
<br />San Francisco, California, was the lowest responsible bidder
<br />
<br />for Items 1, 3, 4, 5, 8, 14, 17, 19, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 35,
<br />
<br />39, 40, 42, 43, 45 and 48; GROENIGER & COMPANY, Oakland, California,
<br />was the lowest responsible bidder for Items 2, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11,
<br />12, 13, 15, 16, 18, 20, 21, 24, 26, 32, 33, 34, 36, 37, 38, 41,
<br />46, 47 and 49; GRINNELL CO. OF THE PACIFIC, San Jose, California,
<br />was the lowest responsible bidder for Items 23 and 44; and EDWARD
<br />
<br />S. WALSH COMPANY, San Jose, California, was the lowest responsible
<br />bidder for Item 22; and it is the intention and desire of this
<br />
<br />council to award bids for said items to the designated bidders;
<br />
<br />NOW, THEREFORE;
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY,
<br />
<br />AS FOLLOWS:
<br />
<br />1. The bid of Crane Supply Company, in the total price
<br />
<br />to the City of Redwood city of Four Thousand Three Hundred Thirty
<br />and 90/100 Dollars ($4,330.90), for the furnishing of brass fittings,
<br />
<br />consisting of bid Items 1, 3, 4, 5, 8, 14, 17, 19, 25, 27, 28,
<br />
<br />29, 30, 31, 35, 39, 40, 42, 43, 45 and 48, in accordance with
<br />
<br />the specifications therefor, is hereby accepted, and said bidder
<br />
<br />is hereby declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said
<br />
<br />equipment.
