<br />~ <br /> <br />< <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />DES:yc:2/2/70 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br />---------- <br /> <br />N O.(O~\ \ <br /> <br />ORiGINAL <br /> <br />FEB 2 '70 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR LEASE OF CITY-OWNED REAL <br />PROPERTY IN REDWOOD CITY MARINE HARBOR AREA TO HOST <br />INTERNATIONAL, INC. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Resolution No. 6193, adopted <br /> <br />January 12, 1970, bids were called for the proposed leasing of <br /> <br />certain city-owned real property situate in the Redwood City <br /> <br />Marina Harbor area, to be used for the construction and operation <br /> <br />of restaurant facilities; and <br /> <br />WHERFAS, pursuant to said call, one bid was received from <br /> <br /> <br />Host International, Inc., to lease said real property for the <br /> <br />term and at the rentals hereinafter set forth; and <br /> <br />t <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council finds that it is in the best interest <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City to award said bid to Host International, <br /> <br />Inc. ; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />l. That certain bid submitted by Host International, Inc., <br /> <br />dated January 22, 1970, to lease the above mentioned real property <br /> <br />(which real property is more particularly described in the lease <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />agreement) for a term of 30 years co~nencing upon the first day <br /> <br />-'. <br /> <br />of the first month of the calendar quarter next following the <br /> <br />occupancy date (as said date is defined in the lease agreement) I <br /> <br />and subject to the rents, covenants, terms, conditions, and <br /> <br />agreements of said lease agreement and bid documents at the <br />rental~ hereinafter set forth for the designated periods < is <br /> <br />hereby accepted and determined to be the highest responsible bid. <br /> <br />The aforementioned rentals bid and accepted are as follows: <br /> <br />(~) Early Entry: ,$l75 per month during the period com- <br />mencing wi th the II commencement of constructionl!
