Cole"( L <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT IN CONNECTION WITH THE <br />WEED ERADICATION PROGRAM IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 6172, adopted December 8, <br /> <br />1969, the City Clerk called for bids for the letting of a contract <br /> <br />for the performance of certain spraying and disking work for the <br /> <br />control and eradication of undesirable vegetation in the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City for the year 1970; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said resolution, the City Clerk called <br /> <br />for bids and one bid was received and filed with the City Clerk; <br /> <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, C. J. SIMMS CO., INC., of Cupertino, California, <br /> <br />is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and <br /> <br />desi.re of this Council to award said contract to said C. J. <br /> <br />SIMMS CO., INC. i <br /> <br />NOTvv, THEREFORE ; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY TffE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLO~vS: <br /> <br />1. That the bid of C. ,J. SIMMS CO., INC., in the total <br /> <br />amount of Twenty Seven Thousand Six Hundred Forty-seven <br /> <br />Dollars ($27,647.00) more or less, computed in accordance with <br /> <br />bidder's proposal dated January 8, 1970, for the performance <br /> <br />of the work necessary to accomplish weed eradication by spraying <br /> <br />and disking in the City of Redwood City; California, in accordance <br /> <br />with the specifications approved by Resolution No. 6172, be and <br /> <br />the same is hereby accepted. Any irregularities or infornlalities <br /> <br />that may be contained in said bid are hereby waived. <br /> <br />2. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized and <br /> <br />directed to enter into and execu~e on behalf of the City of <br /> <br />Redvlood City that certa in agreement entitled "Agreement" (form <br />
