<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />DES:yc:l/2/70 <br /> <br />ORIG1N:~L <br /> <br />RESOLUT.!ON <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />~18~ <br /> <br />JAN 5 '1Q <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENT FOR THE LEASING OF <br />REAL PROPERTY FOR PARK PURPOSES IN THE VICINITY OF <br />HANCOCK AND WILLOW STREETS; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF A ONE YEAR LEASE AGREEMENT, WITH OPTIONS OF RENEWAL <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Gertrude Brizee, of Crofton, Maryland, desires to <br /> <br />enter into a lease agreement with the City of Redwood City for <br /> <br />the leasing of certain real property to the City, comprising <br />approximately 13,294 square feet, 'in the vicinity of Hancock <br /> <br />and willow Streets, Redwood City, California; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has need for park facilities <br /> <br />in the above mentioned area, and the said real property immediately <br /> <br />adjoins other real property now utilized for park purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presenteq to this Council an agree- <br /> <br />ment providing for the leasing of said real property owned by <br /> <br />said Gertrude Brizee for a term of one year with options of renewal <br /> <br />and termination provisions, at a rental of One Thousand six <br /> <br />Hundred Dollars ($1,600.00) per annum; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council finds that the public interest, <br /> <br />necessity and convenience will be served by entering into the <br /> <br />above mentioned lease agreement; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain lease agreement by and between the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City, as lessee, and Gertrude Brizee, as lessor, a copy <br /> <br />of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which <br /> <br />copy reference is hereby made for full particulars concerning <br /> <br />the terms and conditions thereof, is hereby approved, and the <br /> <br />City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute said <br /> <br />lease agreement for and on behalf of the City of Redwood city. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
