<br />I <br /> <br /> <br />l___ <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />DES.ek 10/9/69 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />OCT 13 off <br /> <br />REE-OLUT1.0N <br /> <br />'1').7 <br /> <br />N o. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION FOR~ALLY ACKN~~LEDGING REDWOOD CITY FIRE <br />FIGHTERS AS AN EMPLOYEE ORGANIZATION REPRESENTING <br />EMPLOYEES OF THE CIrry OF RED\'lOOD CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 10 of Division. 4 of Title I (commencing <br />with ~3500) of the Government Code provides for the formal <br /> <br />acknowledgment of employee organizations as organizations <br /> <br />representing employees of a publicagencYi and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Red\vood Ci ty Fire Fighters, an unincorporated <br /> <br />association, has requested this Council to acknowledge formally <br /> <br />that said organization represents employees of the Ci.ty of <br /> <br />Redvlood Ci ty for purposes of qualifying as a 1/ recognized <br /> <br />employee organizationll under the aforementioned chapter of <br /> <br />the Government Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council, in the spirit of mutual cooperati.on <br /> <br />and in furtherance of promoting full communication between the <br /> <br />City as a public employer and its employees, and pursuant to <br /> <br />;' <br /> <br />the aforementioned chapter of the Government Code, desires <br /> <br />formally to acknowledge the above mentioned organization as <br /> <br />representing employees of the City, of Redwood CitYi <br /> <br />NO'i'l, THEREFORE i <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS . FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That this Council hereby acknowledges formally that the <br /> <br />Redwood City Fire F.ighters, an unincorporated association,' <br /> <br />does, and shall, represent employees of the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />and shall have the rights, duties and obligations of IIrecognized <br /> <br />employee o:-ganizations" pursuant to Chapter 10 of Division 4 of <br /> <br />-Title I (commencing at ~3500) of the Government Code and such <br /> <br />Rules and Regulations of the City of Redwood City as do or may <br /> <br />apply to such organizations. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
