<br />.........- ., <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />DES:yc:IO/3/69 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />OCT 6 '. <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br />---------- <br /> <br />NO. b/~1 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING CONSENT OF THE BOARD OF SUPER- <br />VISORS OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO TO THE EXERCISE OF <br />EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION TO UNDERTAKE PROCEEDINGS <br />FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN UNDERGROUND UTILITY <br />DISTRICT INCLUDING CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY <br />IN UNINCORPORATED AREAS OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO <br />AND TO BE ESTABLISHED IN CONNECTION WITH THE <br />CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS TO WOODSIDE ROAD <br />IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND SAID COUNTY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood city intends to'institute <br />proceedings for the establishment of an underground utility <br /> <br />district pursuant to Article IV of Chapter II (entitled <br /> <br />"Underground Utilities") of the Code of the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />in connection with the construction of certain street widening <br /> <br />and associated improvements by the State of California for <br /> <br />State Highway Route 114 (Woodside Road) within said City and in <br /> <br />unincorporated areas of the County of San Mateo; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, certain portions proposed to be included within <br /> <br />said district are situate in unincorporated areas of the County <br /> <br />of San Mateo in the vicinity of said woodside Road between <br /> <br />Locust Street and Churchill Avenue, which areas are more <br /> <br />particularly described in "Exhibit A" hereof, attached hereto, <br /> <br />and by this reference incorporated herein; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo <br /> <br />has heretofore adopted its Resolution No. 25530 in August, 1968, <br /> <br />obligating said County to participate in the cost of undergrounding <br /> <br />the existing overhead electrical facilities located within said <br /> <br />unincorporated areas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the public interest, convenience and necessity <br /> <br />will best be served by providing for the inclusion of the above <br /> <br />described unincorporated areas within the City's proposed <br /> <br />underground utility district; <br /> <br />prolongation of the southeasterly line of said Lot 1, Block 1, South <br /> <br />410471 West, a distance of.25 feet, more or less, to the centerline <br /> <br />of Nimitz Avenue, 50 feet in vTidth; THENCE along the centerline of <br /> <br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />of Lot 1, Block 3 of said subdivision; THENCE along said northeasterly <br /> <br />prolongation and the southeasterly lines of Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4, <br /> <br />South 410 471 West, a distance of 127 feet, more or less, to the <br /> <br />northeasterly line o! Lot 5, Block 3 of said subdivision; THENCE <br /> <br />along said northeasterly line South 480 131 East, a distance of 50.00 <br /> <br />feet, to the easterly corner of said Lot 5, Block 3 of said subdivi- <br /> <br />sion; THENCE along the southeasterly line of Lots 5, 6, 7, and 8, <br />
