"0 S <br />RESOLUTION OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY <br /> <br />OAK KNOLL - CANYON LANE & VICINITY <br />SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on September 8, 1969, the Council of the City of <br />Redwood City adopted a resolution of preliminary determination to <br />make public improvements in the City of Redwood City, being Reso- <br />lution No. 6094 of said Council, to construct certain public im- <br />provements more particularly described therein, and did fix therein <br />this date as the time and place when and where any and all persons <br />interested may appear and show cause, if any they have, why the <br />City Council should not find and determine that the public conven- <br />ience and necessity require the improvements described and referred <br />to in said resolution without compliance with the Special Assess- <br />ment, Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, notice of the adoption of said resolution and of <br />said time and place of hearing was given by the City Clerk by <br />publication and posting for the time and in the manner provided in <br />said resolution and Article II of Chapter 18 of the Redwood City <br />Code, as appears from the affidavits on file with the City Clerk; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, no persons objecting to the undertaking of said <br />proceedings without first complying with the provisions of said <br />Special Assessment, Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest <br />Act of 1931 have filed written objections thereto with the City <br />Clerk at or before the time fixed for this hearing by any persons <br />interested, owning or having an interest in real property within <br />the proposed assessment district, bearing their signatures, a des- <br />cription of their property, and a statement of the nature of their <br />interest therein; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, all persons having been given an opportunity to be <br />and were fully heard, and said Council has duly considered any and <br />all objections and protests made, and the said proposed improvements <br />and the public convenience and necessity for making the same; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF RED- <br />WOOD CITY, as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the public convenience and necessity require the <br />improvements described in said Resolution No. 6094. <br /> <br />2. That any and all objections and protests made pursuant <br />to said resolution be, and the same are, hereby over- <br />ruled and denied. <br /> <br />3. That the improvements described in said resolution be <br />made under and pursuant to the provisions of the Im- <br />provement Act of 1911 as embodied in the Streets and <br />Highways Code of the State of California, as amended, <br />and that the Special Assessment, Investigation, Limi- <br />tation and Majority Protest Act of 1931 shall not <br />apply to said proceedings. <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * <br />
