L. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR PERFORMANCE OF <br />CERTAIN REPAIR WORK FOR THREE PUMPING UNITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 6063, adopted August 11, <br /> <br />1969, the City Clerk called for bids for the repairing, overhauling <br /> <br />and rehabilitating of three trailer-mounted diesel-engine-driven <br /> <br />pumps being used for municipal purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, one bid was received and <br /> <br />filed with the City Clerk for the performance of said work; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, ELECTRO-MOTION PACIFIC, INC., Redwood City, <br /> <br />California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the inten- <br /> <br />tion and desire of this Council to award said bid to Electro- <br /> <br />Motion Pacific, Inc.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of ELECTRO-MOTION PACIFIC, INC., in the lump <br /> <br />sum amount of Five Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($5,400.00), <br /> <br />for the performance of the work in accordance with the specifica- <br /> <br />tions therefor, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby <br /> <br />declared to be the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />2. Any informalities in the bid of said Electro-Motion <br /> <br />Pacific, Inc., are hereby waived. <br /> <br />3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />that certain agreement entitled \lAgreement" by and between the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City and Electro-Motion Pacific, Inc., for the <br /> <br />performance of said work. <br /> <br />4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />return to the successful bidder upon execution of the contract <br /> <br />for the performance of the work, all security guaranteeing <br /> <br />execution of the contract upon award. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
