<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />DES:yc:8/28/69 <br /> <br />ORfG'NAl <br />SEP&'F <br /> <br />RE,2,OLUT.!ON <br /> <br />N O. htJ9' <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH DAMES & MOORE FOR SOILS ENGINEERING <br />SERVICES (MUNICIPAL MARINA) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City desires to determine the <br /> <br />feasibility of constructing additional small craft berthing <br /> <br />facilities along or upon certain levee areas located in the <br /> <br />City's Municipal Marina; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in order to determine such feasibility, it is <br /> <br />necessary to investigate the soils characteristics of said areas <br /> <br />and to ascertain the requirements for construction of the afore- <br /> <br />said facilities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City requires expert soils <br /> <br />engineering consulting services to make the above mentioned <br /> <br />--- <br /> <br />investigation and determination; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the.:finu> .of . Dames & Moore has represented to City <br /> <br />that said firm is qualified to perform such expert consulting <br /> <br />engineering services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council an <br /> <br />agreement by and between the City of Redwood City and the firm <br /> <br />of Dames & Moore for the performance of expert soils engineering <br /> <br />consulting services aforesaid, and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to approve said agreement and authorize its <br /> <br />execution; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled "Agreement for Soils <br /> <br />Engineering Services (Municipal Marina)," by and between the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City and the firm of Dames & Moore, a copy of <br /> <br />which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to <br />
