<br />, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RES 0 L UT ION <br /> <br />N o. 6083 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION COMMENDING GENE KOHLMANN AND CONGRATULATING <br />HIM ON HIS ACHIEVEMENTS AS A RACER OF ONE-MAN SAILBOATS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, GENE KOHLMANN, a resident of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City, has brought fame and honor to this community by his <br /> <br />winning of the North American CrO\Aln for one-man sailboat <br /> <br />racing; and, further, has ably represented the United States <br />in the contest for the world championship in France for OK <br />dinghy racing; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to commend this <br /> <br />fine young man, to congratulate him on his achievements, and <br /> <br />to express the pride of the community in having one of its <br />young men so ably represent the community and the United States; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLL01~S: <br /> <br />This Council takes this opportunity to congratulate GENE <br /> <br />KOHLMANN on his outstanding talents as a racer of one-man sail- <br />boats, and particularly on his winning the North American crown <br />in this country as a representative of the Sequo~a Yacht Club, <br />and in France where he ably represented the United States in <br />the contest for world championship in one-man sailboat racing. <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * <br /> <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have caused the Official Seal <br />of the City to .be affixed hereto this 8th day of <br />September, 1969. <br /> <br />ROBERT H.
