<br />RESOLUTION OF PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION
<br />
<br />OAK KNOLL - CANYON LANE & VICINITY
<br />SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
<br />
<br />RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redwood City,
<br />that it does hereby preliminarily determine that the public
<br />convenience and necessity require, and that it intends to order,
<br />the following work to be done and improvements made in and for
<br />said City, to wit:
<br />
<br />The construction of sanitary sewer mains, wyes, tee,
<br />laterals and appurtenances, cleanouts, lampholes , and
<br />manholes with frames and covers together with all work
<br />appurtenant thereto and necessary to complete the same, in
<br />Hillside Road from Oak Knoll Drive westerly 235 feet, more
<br />or less, and in easements to be acquired along the southerly
<br />line of lands of City and County of San Francisco (Hetch-Hetchy
<br />Right of Way) from Glenwood Avenue northerly 1250 feet,
<br />more or less, and in easements to be acquired running generally
<br />westerly and southwesterly from the southerly line of said lands
<br />of City and County of San Francisco across Lot 3, Block 29, as
<br />shown on map entitled "OAK KNOLL MANOR," recorded in Book 10
<br />of Maps at pages 4 to 11, Records of San Mateo County, Cali-
<br />fornia, a distance of approximately 400 feet, more or less,
<br />and shortened or extended as required to provide service to
<br />Lots 18, 19 and 20, as shown on map entitled EMERAL LAKE PARK
<br />MAP NO.4," recorded in Book 10 of Maps at page 32, Records
<br />of San Mateo County, California.

<br />All of said work and improvements are to be constructed at the
<br />places and in the manner, and to the lines, grades, and elevations,
<br />as shown upon the plans, profiles and specifications made therefor
<br />and on file in the office of the City Engineer of Redwood City.
<br />
<br />Said contemplated work and improvements, in the opinion of said
<br />City Council, are of more than local or ordinary public benefit,
<br />and said Council does hereby"make the cost and expenses of doing
<br />such work and improvements chargeable upon a District, which
<br />District said City Council declares to be the District benefited
<br />by said work and improvements and to be assessed to pay the entire
<br />cost and expenses thereof, and which Assessment District is wholly
<br />within the limits of said City of Redwood City, State of California,
<br />and is described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part
<br />hereof.

<br />There is excepted from said District all streets and all other
<br />public property in use in the performance of a public function.
<br />
<br />Notice is hereby given that certain easements or other interests
<br />in the land or improvements must be acquired to complete the above-
<br />mentioned work and improvements, and that a total cost for the
<br />land and/or improvements is presently estimated to be $2,500.00
<br />including contingencies, legal and engineering costs. Reference is
<br />hereby made to that certain Map entitled "Acquisition Strip Map,
<br />Oak Knoll - Canyon Lane & Vicinity," presently on file in the office
<br />
