SCJ9~ RESOLUTION VACATING AND ABANDONING PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT - PORTION OF BLOCK 2, NEWELL PARK SUBDIVISION WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Article 5, (commencing at ~50430) of Chapter 2, Part 1, Division 1, Title 5, of the California Government Code, the Council of the City of Redwood City has, by its Resolution No. 5988, adopted May 12, 1969, declared its intention to vacate a ten, foot wide public utility easement through a portion of Block 2, as said Block 2 is shown on that map entitled "Newell Park, II recorded on August" 20, 1958, in the office of the Recorder, County of San Mateo, State of California, in Volume 49 of Maps at pages 35, 36 and 37i and WHEREAS, pursuant to said provisions, notice of intention to vacate and abandon the above mentioned easement has been published and posted; and WHEREAS, a petition has been filed requesting said vacation and abandonment; and WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held and evidence taken; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The Council of the City of Redwood City finds that the hereinafter described public utility easement is unnecessary for present or prospective public use. 2. The above mentioned public utility easement which is to be vacated is described as follows: All of that ten foot wide public utility easement lying within a portion of Block 2 as said Block 2 is shown on that map entitled 'INE\'lELL PP-.RK, II recorded on August 20 1958, in the office of the Recorder, County of San Mat~o sta te of Ca li~ornia, in Volu1TIe 49 of Maps at puges 35, , 36 and 37, belng more particularly described as follows:
