S-q ~ fl <br /> ---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE TEN FOOT WIDE PUBLIC <br />UTILITY EASEMENT THROUGH PORTION OF BLOCK 2, NEWELL PARK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer has advised this Council that <br /> <br />the hereinafter described ten foot wide public utility easement <br /> <br />is no longer necessary or needed for public municipal purposes; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said easement is unnecessary for present or <br /> <br />prospective public use; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 5 (commencing at ~50430) of Chapter 2, <br /> <br />Part 1, Division 1, Title 5, of the Government Code provides a <br /> <br />procedure for the vacation of easements by local authorities; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The Council of the City of Redwood City hereby declares <br /> <br />its intention to abandon the hereinafter described public utility <br /> <br />easement pursuant to the aforementioned Government Code provisions. <br /> <br />2. The above mentioned public utility easement to be <br /> <br />abandoned is described as follows: <br /> <br />All of that ten foot wide public utility easement lying <br />within a portion of Block 2 as said Block 2 is shown on <br />that map entitled "NEWELL PARK, II recorded on August 20, <br />1958, in the office of the Recorder, County of San Mateo, <br />State of California, in Volume 49 of Maps at pages 35, <br />36 and 37, being more particularly described as follows: <br /> <br />BEGINNING at the intersection of the southeasterly line <br />of said Newell Park subdivision and the northeasterly <br />line of Chesterton street, 54.00 feet in width; THENCE, <br />North 410 58ct 07" West along said northeasterly line of <br />Chesterton street a distance of 10.02 feet; THENCE <br />North 440 18' East across Lots 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8 <br />and 7, as said lots are shown in said Block 2 of Newell <br />Park Subdivision, a distance of 560.39 feet; THENCE <br />South 410 23' East a distance of 10.03 feet to the <br />said southeasterly line of Newell Park Subdivision; <br />THENCE South 440 18' West along said southeasterly line <br />a distance of 560.38 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. <br />
