Sf:JS'O <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF <br />JEFFERSON AVENUE-HIGHLAND AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS; <br />REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF CONTRACT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING <br />RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5950, adopted April 7, <br /> <br />1969, the City Clerk called for bids for the construction of certain <br /> <br />improvements on Jefferson Avenue and Highland Avenue, in the vicinity <br /> <br />of Fire Station No.4, in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, HOLM & ELLIOTT, INC., Palo Alto, California, is <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to award said bid to Holm & Elliott, Inc; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Holm & Elliott, Inc., in the total amount of <br /> <br />Eight Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty-six and 30/100 Dollars ($8,886. 30) " <br /> <br />more or less, computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated <br /> <br />May 7, 1969, for the construction of certain improvements on <br /> <br />Jefferson Avenue and Highland Avenue, in the vicinity of Fire <br /> <br />Station No.4, in the City of Redwood City, according to plans <br /> <br />and specifications therefor, is hereby accepted and said bidder <br /> <br />is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder <br /> <br />for said work. <br /> <br />2. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />for the above mentioned work, other than the bid mentioned in <br /> <br />paragraph 1 hereof, are hereby rejected. <br /> <br />3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City <br />
