<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />JHT:yc:4/3/69 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br />---------- <br /> <br />NO. -S1..f. ~ <br /> <br />ORIGINAL' <br />APR'lJrl <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY, RELATING <br />TO INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF GRADE CROSSING <br />PREDICTORS AT BROADWAY AND JEFFERSON AVENUE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City and Southern Pacific Company <br /> <br />desire to install grade crossing predictors, which will reduce <br /> <br />the traffic congestion at railroad crossings at Broadway and <br /> <br />Jefferson Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an agreement has been presented to this Council by <br /> <br />and between Southern Pacific Company and the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />relating to the installation and maintenance of grade crossing <br /> <br />predictors at Broadway and Jefferson Avenue, all within the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City, specifying the construction and maintenance and <br /> <br />cost-sharing to be borne by the respective parties; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />approve the same and authorize its execution; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That certain agreement providing for the construction, <br /> <br />maintenance and cost-sharing for grade crossing predictors at <br /> <br />Broadway and Jefferson Avenue, a copy of which agreement is on <br /> <br />file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is <br /> <br />hereby made for full particulars concerning the terms and conditions <br /> <br />thereof, is hereby approved and the City Manager is hereby <br /> <br />authorized and directed to execute the same for and on behalf of <br /> <br />the City of Redwood city. <br /> <br />*-. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />*. <br />
