ORIGJNAt_-.~.. <br />APif i'.'W. . <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE OF THE STATE <br />OF CALIFORNIA TO PREPARE AN ESTll~~TE OF POPULATION INCREASE <br />AND APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />CITY AND DEPARTHEN'r OF' FINANCE, S'I'A1'E OF CALIFORNIA, <br />PROVIDING FOR PREPARATION OF SUCH ESTI~mTE BY THE DEPART- <br />MENT OF FINANCE AND PAYMENrr rrHEREFOR BY CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 2107.2 of the Streets and Highways.Code. <br /> <br /> <br />. - ~. - . <br /> <br />of the state of California provides that any city whose popu~a- <br /> <br /> <br />tionhas incl~eased substantially since the last Federal ~ensus, may <br /> <br />apply to the Department of Financ~, State of California,. for an <br /> <br />estimate of the in~rease in its population; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to have the Department of Finance <br /> <br />estimate the increase in population of City, and Department is <br /> <br />willing to make such esti.mation; and <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS,' Department has submitted to 'City an agreement <br /> <br />providing for the performance of said work by Department and <br /> <br />, . <br /> <br />the payment ther'efor by Ci ty, a copy of which agreement has been <br /> <br />presented to this Council and approved by it; <br /> <br />NO\'l, THEREl"ORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY rrHE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF. REDl'lOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLO:-lS: <br /> <br />That the above mentioned agreement betvleen the Department <br /> <br />of Finance, State of California, and the City of Redwood Ci.ty, <br /> <br />providing for ,the undert'aking and complet io'n by the Departmen t <br /> <br />of F1nance of an estimat~ of population of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City at ~he expense of the City of Redwood City, a copy of which <br /> <br />agreement is on file in the office of the C.i ty Clerk, to which <br /> <br />copy reference is hereby made, be and the same is hereby approved <br /> <br />and the Mayor and City ~lanager are hereby authorized and directed <br /> <br />to execute th~ same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
