<br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR FURNISHING OF BRASS
<br />FITTINGS
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5908, adopted February 17,
<br />
<br />1969, the City Clerk called for bids for the furnishing of brass
<br />
<br />fittings to be used by the Water Department for municipal purposes;
<br />
<br />and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed
<br />
<br />with the City Clerk for the furnishing of said equipment; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, CRANE SUPPLY COMPANY, San Francisco, California,
<br />
<br />was the lowest responsible bidder for Items 1, 3, 8, 9, 15, 17,
<br />
<br />18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 31, 35, 45, 46, 47 and 48~
<br />
<br />GROENIGER & COMPANY, Oakland, California, was the lowest responsible
<br />
<br />bidder for Items 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 13, 14, 16, 21, 22, 27, 34, 36,
<br />
<br />38, 39 and 40; and GRINNELL CO. OF THE PACIFIC, San Jose, ,California,
<br />
<br />was the lowest responsible bidder for Items 10, 11, 12, 23, 32, 33,
<br />
<br />37, 41, 42, 43, 44 and 49; and it is the intention and desire of
<br />
<br />this Council to award bids for said items to the designated bidders;
<br />
<br />NOW, THEREFORE;
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY,
<br />
<br />AS FOLLOWS:
<br />
<br />1. The bid of Crane Supply Company, in the total price to
<br />
<br />the City of Redwood City of Three Thousand Three Hundred Eighty-
<br />
<br />eight and 60/100 Dollars ($3,388.60), for the furnishing of brass
<br />
<br />fittings, consisting of bid Items 1, 3, 8, 9, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20,
<br />
<br />24, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 31, 35, 45, 46, 47 and 48, in accordance
<br />
<br />with the specifications therefor, is hereby accepted, and said
<br />
<br />bidder is hereby declared to be the lowest responsible bidder
<br />
<br />for said equipment.
