<br />'yo <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />JHT:yc:3/14/69 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />MAA17..' <br /> <br />RE.@.OLUT1.0N <br /> <br />N O. ,;'3~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR FURNISHING OF ~ST <br />IRON AND DUCTILE IRON WATER PIPE REQUIREMENTS FOR <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY FOR THE PERIOD APRIL 1, <br />1969, THROUGH JUNE 30, 1970 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5910, adopted February 20, <br /> <br />1969, the City Clerk called for bids for the supplying of cast <br /> <br />iron and ductile iron water pipe to meet the requirements of the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City for the period April 1, 1969, through June 30, <br /> <br />1970; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed <br /> <br />with the City Clerk for the furnishing of said materials; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, UNITED STATES PIPE & FOUNDRY COMPANY, Union City, <br /> <br />California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the <br /> <br />intention and desire of this Council to award said bid to United <br /> <br />States Pipe & Foundry Company; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of united States Pipe & Foundry Company for the <br /> <br />furnishing of cast iron and ductile iron water pipe for the period <br /> <br />April 1, 1969, through June 30, 1970, at a total net delivered <br /> <br />price of Twenty-four Thousand Nine Hundred Forty-eight Dollars <br /> <br />($24,948.00), is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby <br /> <br />declared to be the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an <br /> <br />agreement with United States Pipe & Foundry Company for the <br /> <br />furnishing of said cast iron and ductile iron water pipe in <br /> <br />accordance with the accepted proposal. <br /> <br />3. Any and all other bids received by the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City for the furnishing of the above mentioned materials, other <br /> <br />than the bid mentioned in paragraph 1 hereof, are hereby rejected. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
