S'37 ~ 17 "69 RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR FURNISHING OF LIQUID CHLORINE FOR THE REDWOOD CITY SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5909, adopted February 17, 1969, the City Clerk called for bids for the supplying of liquid chlorine for the Redwood City Sewage Treatment Plant for the period April 1, 1969, through June 30, 1970; and WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed with the City Clerk for the furnishing of said liquid chlorine; and WHEREAS, TOPS CHEMICAL CO., A DIVISION OF GEORGIA-PACIFIC CORPORATION, Richmond, California, and GEORGIA-PACIFIC CORPORATION, Portland, Oregon, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award said bid to TOPS CHEMICAL CO., A DIVISION OF GEORGIA-PACIFIC CORPORATION and GEORGIA- PACIFIC CORPORATION; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The bid of Tops Chemical Co., a Division of Georgia- Pacific Corporation and Georgia-Pacific Corporation, for the furnishing of approximately 220 tons of liquid chlorine for the period enging June 30, 1970, at a delivered price per ton of Seventy-five and 22/100 Dollars ($75.22), is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby declared to be the lowest responsible bidder. 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agree- ment with Tops Chemical Co., a Division of Georgia-Pacific Corpora- tion and Georgia-Pacific Corporation for the furnishing of liquid chlorine in accordance with the accepted proposal. 3. Any and all other bids received by the City of Redwood City for the furnishing of the above mentioned liquid chlorine, obher than the bid mentioned in paragraph 1 hereof, are hereby rejected. * * *
