S'2V <br /> <br />MAq J 0 'i~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH STATE OF CALIFORNIA, RELATING TO <br />SAFETY LIGHTING INSTALLATIONS AT INTERSECTIONS OF <br />WOODSIDE ROAD (STATE HIGHWAY 114) WITH DESIGNATED <br />CITY STREETS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City, the County of San Mateo <br /> <br />and the State of California have heretofore entered into a <br /> <br />cooperative agreement covering joint participation in construction <br /> <br />of improvements on existing State Highway Route 114 (Woodside <br /> <br />Road) between State Route 280, northerly to Locust Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an agreement has been presented to this Council <br /> <br />by and between the State of California and the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City relating to the installation and maintenance of safety <br /> <br />lighting at the intersections of Sequoia Avenue, Orchard Avenue, <br /> <br />Gordon Street and Hess Road with State Highway Route 114 (Woodside <br /> <br />Road), all within the City of Redwood City, spec~fying the pro- <br /> <br />portionate share of the costs to be borne by the City and the <br /> <br />State; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />approve the same and authorize its execution; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE ; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That certain agreement entitled "Agreement~" by and <br /> <br />between the State of Califo~nia, Department of Public Works, <br /> <br />Division of Highways, and the City of Redwood City, a copy of <br /> <br />which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk to <br /> <br />which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars concerning <br /> <br />the terms and conditions thereof, is hereby approved, and the <br /> <br />City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the <br /> <br />same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
