Sf37 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING WEEDS AND RELATED MATTERS TO BE <br />A NUISANCE, AND ORDERING THEIR REMOVAL <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That this Council, upon evidence presented by the <br /> <br />Super~ntendent of streets and the City Manager, has determined <br /> <br />that weeds, rubbish, dirt and rank growths, as such items are <br /> <br />defined by Section 14.38 of the Code of the City of Redwood City, <br /> <br />do exist upon private property within those certain areas of <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City delineated upon "Exhibit A," attached <br /> <br />hereto and by this reference incorporated herein, and in and <br /> <br />upon the sidewalks, parkways, streets, avenues, roadways, <br /> <br />boulevards, highways and alleys likewise delineated and situate <br /> <br />within the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />2. That this Council does hereby (a) declare such weeds, <br /> <br />rubbish, dirt and rank growths to be a public nuisance, <br /> <br />(b) direct that every property owner, lessee or occupant of <br /> <br />buildings, grounds, or lots within aforesaid areas of the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City shall destroy or remove the same, and (c) declare <br /> <br />that unless said nuisance be abated without delay by the <br /> <br />destruction or removal of such weeds, rubbish, dirt and rank <br /> <br />growths, the Council of the City of Redwood City shall cause <br /> <br />said nuisance to be abated and shall cause the expense of such <br /> <br />abatement to be assessed upon the lots and lands from which, <br /> <br /> <br />and/or in the front or rear of which, such weeds shall have been <br /> <br />destroyed or removed, in accordance with and in the manner <br /> <br />provided by Article IV (commencing-at ~14.38) of Chapter 14 of <br /> <br />the Code of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />3.
