8/13/01 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14309 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE 2001 -2002 <br />TRUCKING AND HAULING SERVICE PROJECT; <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID <br />WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br />WHEREAS, Pursuant to Resolution duly approved by this Council on <br />June 11, 2001, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the 2001 -2002 Trucking and <br />Hauling Service Project; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, two (2) bids were received <br />for the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, S.G. Barber Construction, Inc. of Belmont, California is the <br />lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br />award said bid to S.G. Barber Construction, Inc.; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of S.G. Barber Construction, Inc. in the amount Forty One <br />Thousand and no Dollars ($41,000.00), computed in accordance with bidder's <br />proposal dated July 18, 2001, for the 2001 -2002 Trucking and Hauling Service <br />Project, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be <br />the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br />2. That certain agreement entitled, "Agreement for Trucking and Hauling <br />Services," by and between the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation of <br />Reso -0135 1 <br />R /Shared /Redwood /Council <br />FXS /dr <br />08/03/01 <br />
