<br />.~,~ <br />'Ii <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />DES:yc:9/13/68 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br />---------- <br /> <br />N o. .57''1 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING EXTENSION OF TIME TO COMPLY <br />WITH ORDER OF REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality <br /> <br />Control Board has by motion made August 23, 1968, required the <br /> <br />Cities of ,Redwood City, San Carlos and Belmont, each, to submit <br /> <br />by October 14, 1968, a report to said Board containing a prelim- <br /> <br />inary plan and cost estimate together with a plan for securing <br /> <br />necessary financing and a schedule of dates for planning, <br /> <br />financing and construction for facilities necessary to meet <br /> <br />the waste discharge requirements of said Board: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Cities of Belmont, San Carlos and Redwood City <br /> <br />have received a review of the strategic consolidation sewage <br /> <br />plan designed to comply with said Board's requirements: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as a result of a proposed initiative amendment to <br /> <br />the Constitution of the State of California relating to limitations <br /> <br />to be placed on taxation of property, which amendment is to be <br /> <br />voted on by the people of the State of California on November 5;-0 <br /> <br />1968, the manner and method of financing public facilities may <br /> <br />be radically changed: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary and in the public interest that <br /> <br />the Councils of the Cities of Redwood City, San Carlos and <br /> <br />Belmont review in detail said strategic consolidation sewage <br /> <br />plan and individually review their financing requirements to <br /> <br />pursue said plan: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE ; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That this Council hereby respectfully requests the <br /> <br />Regional Water Quality Control Board to grant an extension of <br />
